What is a Sales Associate?

Basic Requirements

  • Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Social Security Number: A valid U.S. Social Security number is required.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Pre-License Course

You must complete a Florida-approved 63-hour pre-license course. This course is valid for two years from completion. You can apply for the state exam before completing the course, but you must show proof before testing.

If you hold a four-year degree or higher in real estate, you may qualify for an exemption.

Fingerprinting & Background Check

Submit fingerprints via a Florida-approved Livescan provider after submitting your application. Processing may take up to five days.

The State Exam

Exams are administered by Pearson VUE. After application approval, schedule your test and review the Candidate Information Booklet for details.
