I remember back in the day, around 1984, when I was managing a Radio Shack store and mobile phones first started selling to the public. The price tag? About $1,500 for the phone and 55 cents per minute to use it.
The first buyers I saw were stock brokers and successful business owners — people who absolutely needed to be in the loop, instantly. For them, every second mattered. A missed call could mean losing money; an immediate answer could mean making more.
Fast forward a few years and suddenly I’m standing in a supermarket, watching someone FaceTime while shopping — loud enough for everyone to hear, no earbuds, no filter. What was once an exclusive tool for high‑stakes decision‑making became everyday background noise.
I see the same thing happening now with AI. Some people avoid it, almost defensive when you ask why. Others use it just for entertainment — making funny clips, parody videos, and movie shorts. But for me, AI is about speed and problem‑solving. It’s how I reverse‑engineer solutions for investors and myself, run numbers fast, and give buyers and sellers clear data to make smarter decisions.
